The 4-day festival sells out less than 24-hours after the release of its 2015 artist lineup, 3 ½ months earlier than ever before. Set against the backdrop of the majestic Sherwood Forest, Electric Forest takes place June 25-28, 2015 in Rothbury, Michigan
Rothbury, Mich. – Today, Electric Forest (EF) announced that tickets to its 5th annual music and camping festival have sold out. News of the sell out comes 3 ½ months earlier than previous years, and demonstrates the deep loyalty and enthusiasm of EF fans for this truly unique event. EF’s variety of GOOD LIFE VIP experiences sold out in just minutes of going on sale this past December.
Known for showcasing a mix of roots, rock and jam-style acts alongside some of dance music’s most relevant performers, Electric Forest 2015 again delivers a diverse lineup of over 100 established and emerging artists performing across 7 stages. Hailed as one of the “20 legendary world festivals to see in your lifetime,” (Distractify) Electric Forest 2015 promises to deliver the ultimate festival experience with its unparalleled integration of music, art and community.
At the heart of the festival, the Sherwood Forest houses specially commissioned art pieces and creatively themed environments that enhance the natural beauty of the event’s majestic wooded location. These popular creative elements continue to expand for 2015, as will the number and variety of colorful characters and performance artists that fill the grounds bringing smiles to the faces of the many guests they meet.
Electric Forest’s prolific fan participation platform – the Plug In program – also expands in 2015, offering many new and exciting ways for fans to help shape the Electric Forest experience. Known for fully embracing the possibilities of an engaged festival community, EF’s Plug In program deliberately blurs the line between event organizers and attendees. With this truly unique “open source” fan engagement platform, Electric Forest harnesses the creativity and passion of its community members, offering real and tangible ways for fans to participate in and ultimately help shape the Electric Forest experience. This is a big deal, since for Electric Forest – experience trumps all.
Back for the second year in a row, “Electric Forces,” the festival’s U.S. Veterans Program, extends EF’s authentic expression of community to U.S. military veterans. By uniting veterans and civilians through festival volunteer opportunities, storytelling, on-site workshops, and more, these shared experiences and the healing power of music nurture connectedness within the EF community and beyond.
Electric Forest’s many GOOD LIFE VIP experiences – which sold out in record time when 2015 tickets went on sale this past December – offer unrivaled amenities and perks, including a variety of onsite lodging options ranging from camping, log cabins to resort-style hotel suites. New to the GOOD LIFE this coming year are the whimsical wonderland of the “Enchanted Campground,” complete with European–inspired pop-up lodging, hang areas, and the Woodside Tents, where tents and camping gear await upon arrival.
