Insomniacs flagship event, the Electric Daisy Carnival, sits comfortably atop the precipice in the ranks of elite EDM events in the world. Last year, this massive rave spread it’s wings and migrated to multiple US states and countries, selling hundreds of thousands of tickets in the process.

EDC hasn’t always been such a grandiosely scaled party. The original was thrown all the way back in 1992 at a non-descript warehouse by party-goer Steve Kool-Aid. In 1997, Insomniac took over the rights to the name and started promoting/producing the party. The event grew steadily each year from there until 2010: the year it exploded in popularity. Clearly, EDC has humble roots, growing from the underground to the mainstream.
